Siem Reap

This 12th-century religious monument is the largest temple complex in the world and serves as the primary symbol of Cambodia. It is renowned for its intricate bas-reliefs and five iconic lotus-like towers.

Located at the center of Angkor Thom, this temple is famous for the hundreds of serene stone faces carved into its many towers. It was constructed in the late 12th or early 13th century as a state temple for King Jayavarman VII.

This temple is notable for being left largely as it was found, with massive silk-cotton tree roots growing over the stone walls. It remains one of the most photographed sites in the archaeological park due to its atmospheric, overgrown appearance.

Situated about 25 kilometers from the main Angkor group, this 10th-century temple is carved from pink sandstone. It is widely recognized for the exceptional detail and depth of its decorative wall carvings.
